Mosgiel Flooring First opened bigger premises in May from a new high-profile site at 26 Gordon Rd.

Owner Tracee Porter, who had for the past 18 months operated Dunnes Flooring First also on Gordon Rd, was confident about expansion.

“We were supposed to open on April 1. The shop was too small and we needed to expand because Mosgiel is up and coming with all the new builds.”

“I love what I do and people are always going to need flooring and there is no other flooring place here.”

Tracee said the new site was “four or five times” bigger and offered generous off-street parking. Many people were “wowed” by the new shop.

Mosgiel Flooring First sell a range of carpets, vinyl planks and tiles.

“Vinyl planking is popular because it is hard-wearing and easy maintenance.”

Mosgiel Flooring First opens Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturdays 10.30am to 1.30pm.
